Privacy Policy

Summary: Your conversations are stored only on your device. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. You can erase all stored data at any time.

1. What Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data. There are no user accounts, no login, no tracking cookies, and no analytics.

2. Device-Stored Data

B2 stores conversation history locally on your device using your browser's IndexedDB storage. This data:

Never leaves your device
Is not transmitted to our servers
Is not accessible to us or any third party
Can be erased at any time via Settings > Device Memory > "Erase All Memory"
Is also cleared if you clear your browser data

Visual preferences (colors, entity name, settings) are stored in your browser's localStorage using the same privacy model.

3. Data Sent to Third-Party Services

When you interact with B2, your messages are sent through our server to the following third-party services for processing:

Anthropic (Claude API) — receives your message text to generate AI responses. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
ElevenLabs — receives AI response text to generate speech audio (if voice is enabled). Subject to ElevenLabs' Privacy Policy.
Tavily — receives your message as a search query to find relevant web information. Subject to Tavily's Privacy Policy.

Our server acts as a proxy — it forwards your messages to these services and returns their responses. We do not log, store, or retain any message content on our server.

4. Microphone Access

B2 may request microphone access for voice input (speech-to-text). This processing happens entirely in your browser using the Web Speech API. Audio is not sent to our servers. You can deny microphone access and use text input instead.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Data Security

All communication between your browser and our server uses HTTPS encryption. API keys are stored server-side and never exposed to your browser.

7. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

View: Your conversation history is visible in the chat interface
Delete: Use Settings > "Erase All Memory" to permanently delete all stored conversations
Prevent: Use your browser's private/incognito mode to prevent any data from being stored

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the effective date at the top of this page.
